The Forum newsletter

When

The quarterly newsletter is published in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter. It relies on material being sent in by members, individuals and organisations. Material can be sent in at any time, ready for the next edition.

What

We are looking for:

  • Short reports and photos from organisations

  • Items and photos from individuals

  • Diary of events being hosted by members

Accompanying images of as high a resolution as possible (minimum 300dpi or 2MB in file size) should be included as separate files (.jpg or .png) and not embedded in an article or email. It must be clear that we have permission to publish them - it is not sufficient just to give the name of the photographer. Captions are helpful. We cannot, however, promise to use all the images you send.

Lastly, once you have read our section marked ‘Important’, you should send everything by email to [email protected]

Important

Contributions must be no more than 300 words in length. They must serve the purpose set out above and not stray into matters of historic or heritage interest or research.

The editorial team will not accept any contribution which does not meet these criteria.

Contributions which are not in plain text or Word format (with the minimum of formatting) will not be considered and will need to be sent again. If this is likely to be a problem, please email us to discuss how we can help.

Editorial team

Thanks to the commitment of our volunteer editors over many years, the Forum newsletter has become an important way of sharing news and opportunities across our network. We now have an editorial team made up of several volunteers, including committee members, who will work together to continue developing the newsletter and bringing you the latest updates direct to your inbox.
