The Northamptonshire Natural History Society, founded in 1876, welcomes anyone interested in science and the natural world, from beginners to lifelong enthusiasts. The society has sections covering astronomy, botany, geology, microscopy, photography, weather and climate, and general natural history. Based at its own rooms and laboratory in Castilian Terrace, Northampton, it hosts over 150 meetings and visits each year and cares for collections including the Walter Crick fossils and Osborne Sand Collection.
