Hardingstone History Society
The society was formed in 2012 and has been flourishing ever since, offering a combination of interesting and varied speakers for their monthly meetings, alongside accruing and compiling their website of local historical information. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book and for most of its life has been the estate village connected to St Mary De La Pre, both in its monastic days and subsequently when it became known as Delapré Abbey, a country home for successive families of squires.
