A registered charity passionate about understanding, protecting and conserving Northamptonshire’s historic parks, gardens and designed landscapes. Thoughtful conservation today can ensure a richer, biodiverse environment for future generations. As a member you will enjoy the opportunity to carry out research, guided tours of a variety of gardens and landscapes, and free lectures.
Projects
Projects include surveying Northamptonshire’s surviving walled kitchen gardens and supporting conservation initiatives such as the development of a community ‘Friends’ group for Billing Road Cemetery in Northampton. Past projects have celebrated influential landscape designers including Capability Brown and Humphry Repton, and supported heritage garden initiatives such as the medieval-style garden at Chichele College in Higham Ferrers.
