Duston History Society
The Society was inaugurated in 2016 and has a variety of speakers as well as members’ evenings and visits. They also have a cabinet in Duston Parish Council and Public Library to display some artefacts from Duston, including Roman artefacts from the older Roman commune where Sixfields now stands. They were helped with this by the Museum and ARC.
Members’ research on local topics and places is encouraged. A building plaque scheme is being investigated and other areas of study are being planned including photographing the streets of Duston for future historical interest.
