Shoetown stakeholder evening at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery – Thursday 29 October

Crown Northampton Shoes is bringing together a select group of business leaders, partners, stakeholders, proud Northamptonians and footwear enthusiasts for an exclusive first look at Shoetown 2027, an ambitious new celebration of Northampton’s world-famous shoemaking heritage.

Two shoes, one blue and one cream in the musuem

The plans are still taking shape, so this is an opportunity to hear the vision before it is publicly launched and potentially help make it even bigger and better.

On the evening, you’ll be able to:

  • Hear the plans for Shoetown 2027 before they’re publicly launched

  • Meet others who are passionate about promoting Northampton

  • Explore opportunities to get involved

  • Discuss sponsorship and partnership opportunities

  • Enjoy an evening of networking in the UK’s home of shoes

Northampton has spent decades making shoes for everyone else to take the credit for. It’s about time we shouted a little louder about one of the greatest stories this town has to tell. And who better to do the shouting than our incredible shoe manufacturers, uniting to combine their voices – along with yours, we hope!

Whether you’d like to sponsor, partner, support, champion or simply satisfy your curiosity, you’re very welcome.

Book your place: Shoetown 2027 stakeholder briefing and networking evening

Please do come along if you can. The room will be full of good people, good conversation, ambitious ideas and an unusually high concentration of Northampton enthusiasts. And, if that wasn’t enough, there will be drinks and snacks!

PS. No, there isn’t a requirement to turn up wearing Northampton-made shoes – but we’d be quietly impressed if you did!

Lynne Dickens

Lynne is currently a part-time freelance website designer and marketer. Formerly trading full-time as Spot On Creative is a Northants-based creative team who have the hard-earned skills, expertise and industry knowledge that only come from having worked for years in advertising. It was all managed by Lynne Dickens who has over 20 years’ experience in marketing communications, and ten years in website design and build, and creative team project management.

Lynne is also a qualified art historian and has some expertise in curating fine art exhibitions and producing all of the catalogues, posters and supporting material to create a successful event.

All the guys in the team have worked for one-man bands, SMEs and large blue-chip multinationals in just about every sector, field and industry. Collectively, we can come up with great ideas, superb design and copy, and exceptional photography for anything from websites to email campaigns, branding to brochures – and everything in between.

And the beauty of Spot On Creative is that we’re big in creativity, experience and knowledge, but small in overheads and invoices. So we’re a much more sensible and affordable option for you than a larger advertising agency or marketing company.
