Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation

The Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation is a charitable trust inspired by the late Eric Barrass OBE, dedicated to preserving and promoting the engineering legacy of Sir Frederick Henry Royce OBE, co-founder of Rolls-Royce Limited, through the safeguarding of extensive archive material.

Its unique and continually expanding collection includes chassis cards and construction test records for over 150,000 cars, along with correspondence and publicity material. The archives hold virtually all Rolls-Royce and Bentley blueprints and part drawings, significant coachbuilder records such as design sketches and finishing details, a vast photographic library, and a comprehensive reference library featuring every Rolls-Royce and Bentley book published, a bound set of Autocar from 1904, and handbooks in multiple languages.
