Northamptonshire Victoria County History Trust

The Victoria County History (VCH) was founded in 1899, as a national project to write the history of every county in England. It is one of the world’s longest-running research projects, exploring England’s rich local history.

The Northamptonshire VCH Trust supports and manages this important work. The Trust has almost completed work on the latest volume, covering Towcester Hundred, and are exploring options for the next project.

The Victoria County History of Northamptonshire so far has been published in seven volumes. Four of the seven volumes published are on British History Online. For full access to all volumes, check your local library catalogue or your local archive.
