Springing back for its annual pop-up: Northants Open Studios returns to Lamport Hall this February

Northants and Rutland Open Studios is set to usher in the spring of 2024 early, showcasing a diverse array of high-quality contemporary art from both emerging and established artists in the region. This anticipated exhibition will illuminate the varied artistic practices in painting, print, textiles, sculpture, and new media. The aim is to inspire and encourage new artists to participate in the largest visual arts festival in the county, scheduled for this coming September.

The exhibition is spread over two weekends, on 10/11 and 17/18 February, welcoming art enthusiasts from 10am to 4pm on both days. This event offers a perfect opportunity for artists and makers residing in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties to discover more about Northants and Rutland Open Studios and have any questions answered.

All showcased artwork will be available for purchase, providing a splendid chance to add a new piece to your collection or acquire your very first piece of original art. To enhance your experience, meet the talented artists over the course of the weekends to find out about their work.

Adding to the allure of the event, Lamport Hall will open up its grounds for the annual Snowdrop walk on both weekends. Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of snow-covered landscapes while exploring the tranquil gardens surrounding this Grade I listed country house. Entrance to the exhibition is free, and there is a small charge for the snowdrop walk.

Lamport Hall is nestled in 10 acres of serene gardens and enclosed by picturesque parkland. This historic venue provides the perfect backdrop for a celebration of art and nature, offering visitors a delightful blend of cultural and natural experiences.

Don't miss this opportunity to experience the joining of art and nature at the Northants and Rutland Open Studios Spring Exhibition. Join us for a weekend of inspiration, creativity, and the chance to connect with the vibrant arts community in Northamptonshire and beyond.
