Northampton and Lamport Railway

The NLR is a steam and diesel heritage railway, just north of Northampton, run entirely by volunteers.

 

Operating a selection of steam and heritage diesel passenger services alongside a section of the Brampton Valley Way near Northampton. The ultimate aim is to extend north, as far as Lamport. Open for train rides from spring to autumn, with special events and site access throughout the year.

Opening times

Check their website for details. The site runs parallel with the Brampton Valley Way, which means you can walk or cycle alongside it all year round.

Admission

The site is free to enter, but there is a fee to ride on the train. See their website for more information (details below).
