Deanshanger Village Heritage Society

The Society was formed in 1999 prompted by the closure of the Oxide Works (1935-1999) formerly E&H Roberts Ironworks (1821-1927) bringing to an end Deanshanger’s industrial heritage. The Society aims to share its extensive archive through exhibitions, local schools, social media etc, as well as promoting improvements in the village and helping to shape its future.
