Wellingborough District Hindu Association (WDHA)

The Hindu community has a long history in Wellingborough with the first settlers coming to the town from 1960 onwards. Wellingborough District Hindu Association (WDHA) was started by a group of community volunteers in the early 1970s. They have continued to serve the community in Wellingborough and across Northamptonshire for over 40 years, hosting numerous religious, cultural events, festivals and educational programmes for children, families and local schools.

 
 

Opening times

The Hindu Mandir is open for worship from 8am to 12pm and 5pm and 8pm

Talks/tours offered

  • Visits from schools, as part of their religious studies programme

  • Visits from community organisations wishing to find out more about Hindu culture and philosophy

  • In addition, the Hindu Community Centre (HCC) has become a hub for the whole community and is available for hire for events and sports activities
